During this time, the sorcerer Thal'kiel and his order of eredar mages, the Wakeners, began using summoning magics to conjure demons from the Twisting Nether. However, the krokul present on Argus say that even though the demons are killed here, they return.Īrgus was once ruled by the Second Duumvirate, consisting of Velen and Kil'jaeden. Argus is so saturated with fel magic that a demon's death there is permanent. It is bisected by a great fel-radiating rift that ends at a cataclysm which has removed a portion of the planet. Argus has since been twisted by demonic, chaotic energies and has become the stronghold of the Burning Legion and is even referred to as Legion's homeworld. ![]() Thousands of years ago, the eredar lived here in tranquility. it is once an utopian world whose inhabitants were both vastly intelligent and highly gifted in magic. The playable part of the planet is split into three zones.Īrgus is the original homeworld of the eredar. ![]() Argus is a level 45 only, no-fly zone, similar to the Isle of Thunder or Timeless Isle. While you're on Argus, the Vindicaar will serve as your mobile base of operations, allowing you to quickly travel between the shattered islands. The draenei created a dimensional ship called the Vindicaar especially for the purpose to return to their homeworld of Argus. After the Battle for the Exodar, Prophet Velen ordered the Light's Chosen to make the necessary preparations to leave for Argus. Lightforged Draenei Allied Race Void Elf Allied RaceĪfter defeating Kil'jaeden in the Tomb of Sargeras, Illidan Stormrage used a Sargerite Keystone to open a rift between Argus and Azeroth, making Argus visible in Azeroth's sky. For more information about these Allied Races, please see the guides below. Argus is important as completing You Are Now Prepared! is required to open two Allied Races: Lightforged Draenei and Void Elves. If you find this guide useful, please rate so others can access it more easily. Not the strongest build I ever played in GD but definitely capable of handling anything the game has to offer. This guide is aimed to cover all the features of the shattered planet of Argus, including the rich storyline, new factions, group events, Vindicaar researches, Veiled Argunite, catch-up gear, hidden treasures, rares and more. I had to basically solo the final floor and boss in a 4 man veteran SoT group, (one guy died, another joined the game but couldn't get in at that point, the guy with me was level 34 and did practically nothing). To the people who think poison+acid is bad in SoT, I have to disagree. Be sure to sell items before using your key and that you have enough potions. ![]() Steps of Torment level 4 and 5 should you die you need to leave the game, start a new session and use another key to access the dungeon - but kill Zarthuzallen first. Possession is another good buff as it gives 33% damage reduction, otherwise probably use Curse of Frailty for slow/debuff. I'll be trying a DEE build that also goes in the Arcanist for Inner Focus and 1 point into Flash Freeze and Mirror for CC/Defense. Originally posted by Dr are slightly resistant against poison/acid, more so against bleed damage. What sort of Defensive raiting and Armor are you guys rolling with for your casters? ![]() But man I just couldn't take hits very well. I wasn't really having issue killing them as Doom Bolt could strike up to 6,000 and my DEE was doing 800 or so dmg on the initial hit and then poison was ticking for 300+ dmg plus all the AoE acid explosions were kicking butt. How much further did I have to go? Was there a whole other floor to reach and how tough is the big boss at the end? I tried to run back to at least get my EXP gravestone but the door was sealed and I assume you need to craft a key now from that recipe everytime you want to try a run? Do you really have to also clear all the other floors before the giant metal doors - no teleport to the friendly ghost NPC? started to run into enemies lvl 42+ and eventually made it into a chamber with a chest and wave after wave of ghosts kept coming - died.Īnyways, I was basically getting decimated because mobs were so high level and they kept critting me - I guess to reduce damage I just need to get to lvl 40. Okay, so I'm lvl 36 pure DEE Occultist and I made it to the fire priest and I guess I got a freebie key past that giant metal door.
